TUYO - creative sanctuary & coffee lab

LA FINCA is a nature cross-cultural sanctuary for established and emerging artists in the cloud forests of the Andean Highlands of Ecuador. We envision to invite creatives once a year, to stay for up to 1-3 weeks via open calls. Here, the participants can use the space to rest and as a playground for discussions, and to develop their artistic practices. The space is suitable as well for site-specific performances and/or installations. More concrete outcomes of this annual residency can take up in form of exhibitions, public talks, workshops and/or other activities in Ecuador and globally. We seek to build bridges of exchange and solidarity across cultures, share knowledge and experiences, nurture environmental protection and connect to our essence through joy, breathing and a good cup of coffee.
Furthermore, we seek to engage with the local community by fostering a just supply chain via capacity-building workshops for and with coffee producers and by highlighting visibility to the reality on the ground for coffee producers world-wide.
