talking about art
Role: Educational Program Development | Facilitator | Art Gallery Guide
‘Talking About Art’ is a Art Gallery Guide program with Refugees & Asylum Seekers, where we prepare participants for their role as Art Guides in CAMP's exhibitions and actively involve them in script writting for the guided tours. Furthermore, the program seeks to encourage participants to take an active role in discussions and debates about contemporary art and broader socio-political issues, and to hold space for hearing their voices in the public debate.

In collaboration with CAMP / Center for Arts on Migration Politics, I co-develop, curated and coordinated the bi-annual 8-week long education program for new students in the Talking about art program. Including facilitation of workshops & excursions, guest speakers curation and support & advice on communications & PR strategies. Among our guests, we hosted La Vaughn Belle, Khalid Albaih, Temi Odumosu, Michelle Einstrup, Mattias Kryger and our very own Tole Olaf Nielsen, Pablo Andrés and Kamilla Askholm Jørgensen. Among others, we partnered and collaborated as well with SMK - Statens Museum for Kunst, Copenhagen Contemporary and Arken.
Additionally, I acted as ‘Art Gallery Guide’ for CAMP’s former exhibition “Economy of Migrant Labor – for the Right to Work” co-curated by the Bridge Radio.
