Hola! I am Lorena, I engage across borders as arts & cultural manager, development and humanitarian specialist, project- and partner manager and social entrepreneur. In my work I explore the relationship between the artistic, social and political fields, as well as opportunities for human and planetary well-being through meaningful engagement and collective action. And I am passionate about generating spaces where people can come together, connect and thrive. Born and raised in the Andean Highlands, I have lived in North America, the Middle East and I am now based in northern Europe.

My interdisciplinary initiatives include among others:

Some of my past collaborators include The Mandela Foundation; CAMP - Center for Arts and Migration Politics; SMK - Statens Museum for Kunst; Red Cross; Ecuadorian Ministry of Education; Norwegian People’s Aid; Women Refugee Route; Crossing Borders and The International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims (IRCT).

My interdisciplinary approach is informed by my educational background in Anthropology, with minors in Middle Eastern Studies and Political Science (University of Hamburg and University of Copenhagen) and Visual Communications (Hochschule für Bildende Künste - HfBK); a Masters in International Relations & Development (Aalborg University, Copenhagen).

Most recently, I carried out a post-graduate program on Curatorial Studies  at the UdK - Universität der Künste Berlin (2022).

I speak and write fluently English, Spanish, and German; advanced level in Danish; intermediate understanding of Italian and Portuguese; basic spoken and written French and Arabic.
